Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Sam Same: Number Puzzles for iPhone, why it is processed and what choices you have. Website visits are covered separately by the Knoblabs website privacy notice.

Who we are

Sam Same: Number Puzzles is provided by Evgeny Knoblokh, operating under the Knob Labs brand. Privacy and support enquiries can be sent to [email protected].

Playing and saving progress

The game does not require a player account. It stores completed levels, your current attempt, lives, Undo and extra-move inventory, reward and purchase transaction references, and game preferences on your device. These records let you continue playing and prevent duplicate rewards.

When iCloud is available on your device, the game automatically stores a copy in its private Apple CloudKit storage and restores available progress. Apple provides this service under its privacy policy. The game receives an app-scoped iCloud record identifier, not your Apple account email or password. Progress is not made public or sent to our analytics service. Cloud availability and successful synchronisation depend on your device, account and network; offline play remains available.

Deleting the app normally removes its local data; offloading the app keeps its documents and data. A private iCloud copy or device backup may remain available for a subsequent installation. Available iCloud storage controls depend on your device and iOS version. Contact us for help identifying the available options for Sam Same. Removing the app alone does not erase all provider-held information.

Usage information

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is used and improve its levels and reliability. The game sends events such as opening a screen, beginning or completing the tutorial, starting a level, winning or confirming a failed attempt, using an Undo or extra move, and requesting or receiving an optional advertising reward. These events may include the level number, move count, booster type and outcome.

The service also processes installation identifiers and technical context such as the app version, device and operating system information, language and session activity. Network services receive connection information such as an IP address. We do not send your name, email, Apple account email, complete saved game, puzzle board, payment receipt or payment credentials with these gameplay events. Installation identifiers can still be personal data even when no player name is supplied.

Firebase Analytics is enabled. There is no separate analytics switch in the game. Advertising preferences do not control analytics collection. See Google's privacy information and Firebase privacy information.

Errors and reliability

Firebase Crashlytics is enabled and receives crash and error reports to help us diagnose problems. Reports can contain stack traces, app and operating system versions, device model, timestamps, session and installation identifiers, and diagnostic information. Our Dart error reporting supplies the exception type and stack rather than the original exception message; native crash reports may include exception information recorded by the SDK. We do not deliberately include saves, purchase receipts or player contact details in these reports.

Optional advertising

You may choose to watch a rewarded video to receive a game item. Google AdMob and its disclosed advertising providers process data needed to deliver, measure and protect advertising, including connection information, app-scoped or device identifiers, ad interactions and technical diagnostics. An IP address can indicate an approximate location. The game does not request precise location permission.

The game requests non-personalised ads. It does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission or use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in Firebase Analytics. Non-personalised ads still involve data processing. Before loading a rewarded ad, the game updates advertising consent information and checks whether Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK permits ad requests.

Google UMP determines whether an advertising consent form is required and which regional choices are available. To request Google's advertising privacy form again, open Settings → Privacy choices (Настройки → Настройки конфиденциальности in Russian). The form and available choices depend on your region and Google's consent configuration. If the form cannot be shown, the game displays a message. These advertising preferences do not change Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics collection.

Declining an advertising choice may prevent rewarded ads from loading. Ad availability is not guaranteed, and a reward depends on the ad provider reporting successful completion. Watching a rewarded ad is voluntary. See Google's advertising privacy information.

Purchases

Optional life refills are processed by Apple. The app receives the product and verified transaction references needed to deliver and acknowledge a purchase and prevent repeated grants. We do not receive your card number or Apple account credentials. Apple's purchase records and refund handling are subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices. Consumable lives already delivered and used are not a permanent entitlement that can be restored from purchase history.

Contacting us

If you contact support, we process the contact information and message you choose to send to respond to your enquiry. Do not send passwords or payment-card information. Support correspondence is separate from game telemetry.

Why we process information and who receives it

Local game data and private CloudKit records let you play, save progress and recover available progress. Apple processes iCloud information and App Store purchases; the game uses verified transaction references to deliver purchases and avoid duplicate grants. Google Analytics for Firebase processes usage events to help us understand level completion and improve the game. Firebase Crashlytics processes diagnostics to identify and fix errors. Google AdMob and advertising providers process advertising data to deliver optional rewarded videos, measure their performance and prevent advertising abuse. We process information in support messages to answer enquiries.

The game does not provide a public player directory. Complete saved games and puzzle boards are not sent to the analytics or advertising services. Apple and Google also process information for their own services under their respective privacy policies: Apple Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. Advertising provider information is shown in Google's privacy form when the form is available.

International processing

Apple and Google may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States. Google's data transfer information describes its use of recognised adequacy frameworks for covered transfers and Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Apple's Privacy Policy describes its international processing and the use of Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. These provider documents explain their transfer arrangements and how to request information about them. You can also contact us about information processed for Sam Same: Number Puzzles.

Retention and your choices

Local game records remain until removed or replaced on your device. Private cloud records remain until removed through the applicable iCloud controls. Firebase states that Crashlytics retains its crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before starting removal from live and backup systems. Our current Google Analytics property keeps event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention clock resets on new activity. These controls do not govern most standard aggregated reports; see Google Analytics retention information. Advertising retention follows the applicable provider policies and processing settings. Support correspondence is retained for as long as it is needed to resolve your enquiry, provide relevant follow-up support or meet applicable legal obligations. Whether an enquiry remains open, whether follow-up is needed and whether a related obligation requires the record to be kept determine how long we retain the correspondence.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, withdraw consent, or complain to a supervisory authority. Contact [email protected]. We may need enough information to identify the relevant records; we cannot reliably identify an unnamed game installation from your email alone. We will explain available steps and respond under applicable law. Requests to Apple or Google may also be relevant for records they independently control. We do not promise that uninstalling removes data already transmitted to a provider.

Children

The game is not directed specifically at young children and is not offered as an Apple Kids Category service. If you believe a child provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the situation.

Changes

We may update this policy when the game or its services change. This page shows the effective date, and material changes will be communicated as required.
